Blue as the sky,
Made of wood am I,
Planked top and sides,
I don't go for rides,
Silent and still by the edge of the drive,
I wait for parcels to arrive.
With bolt on my door,
I wait for more,
All day and all night,
Whether raining or bright,
Cardboard boxes, square and tall,
Padded envelopes, short and small,
Secure and safe within me lie,
Because, blueshed am I.
Sloping roof and all,
Longer than tall.
If you ever see me
You wouldn't forget me.
If you never do,
Think on it and rue;
But blueshed I am,
And I don't give a damn.
